As a general rule in life - there is no such thing as too many books. When it comes to budgeting in our household, my husband and I have one rule - you can ALWAYS buy books. Come to think of it.. maybe I should clarify if that includes pretty little coffee table books :)
Truth is, I just can’t help myself. When it comes to styling, books make all the difference and are essential decor. They speak to your interests and can serve as conversation starters, they act as a pedestal for your other trinkets, or they serve as the necessary moment of color on the shelf. AD runs new collections of books yearly all about homes and architecture. Usually neutral in color, they fit into any aesthetic while also educating on all things design
One of my favorite photographers of our time is Slim Aarons, who’s photography spans decades all of which has been showcased in several books. From breathtaking vistas to private moments between friends, his photographs are easily relatable by anyone who’s willing to look.
Claire Bingham has recently released some funky books about boho and eco style in spunky neon colors I couldn’t look away from! This would be the perfect coffee table book piece for any eclectic lover.
Vintage
As you well know by now, I love a vintage moment. So why not bring it in with books? Not too long ago I hit the auction jackpot with two entire lots of books from the 1960-80s all about home design, architecture, art and music. It took everything in me not to just sit on the shag carpet of this estate and leaf through all sixty of these books. Good thing my husband, Dillon, was there to shake me from my awe and force the books out of my hands and into our boxes to take home.
